In the late 1970's a group of professionals came together to provide a Sunroom system for a custom home that was being built in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Bringing together experience in business relating to High Performance Glazing Systems, Custom Home Building and HVAC design, a team was built and a product was developed. This consultation resulted in the formation of Westview Products, Inc.

In 1982, built upon the premise of quality construction and fine workmanship offered at a reasonable price. We approached this with an interior construction of select clear grade laminated wood beams and an exterior of low maintenance aluminum glazing system. The interior glue-lams start from hand selected lumber and are constructed to exacting engineering standards. Each order of glue-lams comes with it's own certificate of inspection attesting to meeting these nationally recognized standards.

The exterior glazing system is produced from high-grade aluminum alloys based on Westview's own proprietary extrusion designs. The design of each component (6063-T5 extrusions, 85 Durometer EPDM gaskets, treated high tensile strength glazing screws, etc.) was finalized through a rigorous testing program overseen by independent licensed engineers.

  During the 1980's Westview Products grew to be a Northwest leader in the design and manufacturing of Sunrooms and Skylights. Extensive testing for structural strength, air and water infiltration and wind loads opened the doors of opportunity to pursue many different styles and configurations that met the individual needs of our customers. Beginning with Shed-style rooms the product offering grew and expanded until Large Hip structures, graceful Hubs, towering Gables and expansive Window Walls became an everyday occurrence in our production. The need for more room for growth became increasingly apparent and was met with a move to new facilities in 1993.

  Westview's expansion allowed us to showcase several examples of our product offerings and our workmanship in our offices and showroom. During the 1990s we reached out and brought in several regional dealers to market our products across the USA.

With our growth into new and expanded markets came the need for ongoing engineering and testing for increased loads and other code related requirements. In the year 2000, we again invested in new testing to modern energy standards encompassing heat loss, heat gain and more current air and water infiltration standards. The results were impressive and have opened new doors of opportunity in the realm of the new energy code requirements.

  In 2004, a new product system was designed which allows for increased viewing areas relating to corner windows and walls. The patent pending system VuMax™, has impressive engineering and testing results allowing greater opportunities for corner windows and clad wood curtain walls. The system allows for maximized viewing areas while meeting the structural and wind loading design criteria of the building. With this design concept your view of the world around you can be maximized to its fullest. The continued use of glue laminated beams and the Westview glazing system combine with the latest technology in Energy Efficient glass coatings for superb performance.
