Nostalgia Meets Smart Engineering in Westchester Double Hung Window by Sierra Pacific Windows

New line achieves the high-end window market’s narrowest check rail sightline, historically accurate sash proportions.

Red Bluff, CA (February 19, 2019) – Turn of the century styling meets state of the art engineering in the new Westchester Double Hung Window, introduced by Sierra Pacific Windows at the 2019 International Builders’ Show. The new line is designed to achieve the narrowest check rail sightline in the high-end window market, along with historically accurate sash properties.
“The design aesthetics of the Westchester recalls the charm and style of windows handcrafted more than a century ago,” said Vice President of Business Development Bob Taylor. “Combining that with Sierra Pacific’s smart engineering—and multiple patent-pending innovations — we’ve created a beautiful window with structural and thermal performance ratings rarely found in the Double Hung market.”
The window offers structural and thermal performance ratings, including:
  • PG50 performance rating on most standard sizes
  • 0.27 U-value with dual insulated Lo-E 366 and argon.
  • Triple insulated glass U-value of 0.17
Other Westchester Double Hung Window features:
  • 54”x108” maximum size for 1 ¾” sash
  • 72”x120” maximum size for 2 ¼” sash
  • Thermally broken sash construction
  • Integral aluminum nail fin
  • Patent-pending traditionally styled combination sash lock, sill end caps and drainage system, and multi-point tilt latch
  • Constant force balances standard; optional Class 5 Hybrid Spiral Balance for sash up to 140 pounds
  • Used for both residential and commercial applications
